Mike Talley has 16 years experience as a bookseller. In his Burke Used Books retail store, it was a regular daily occurrence to have a new customer walk in the door and then
in a puzzled look ask, "Are these used books?" Over the past 100 years booksellers have allowed book conditions to fall. Junk books have become the "standard" condition
